barracuda 310 web filter issue

I have a barracuda web filter and a user seems sto be bypassing it and I cannot figure it out, I called barracuda and they said that there is no traffic hitting the filter from that IP so  there is basically nothing they can do. I have checked the computer and they have no proxy apps installed or anything. and no sub devices are hooked up to the coimputer.. Anything else I can do to check out what they are doing???

Thanks!!

Try viewing the history on the computer an see if they are using an Open Proxy that isn't blocked by the Barracuda.

Also check your firewall rules and make sure no exceptions are set for that client.

You can install Wireshark and then filter on that IP address.

Check to see if the user has Putty installed on his/her computer.  My guess is that he/she is using SSH to tunnel out of the network.

Very strange- no proxies installed, putty is not installed, i dont see any ssh tunnels coming out--- for whatever reason this computer is bypassing the barracuda - no matter what IP address itr has..

I took the computer away- put a new one in its place which I knew was being blocked from the beginning. Now it is open again. The problem is mu;ltiple users use this machine, so i cannot pinpoint the user...
