When you see that it means the page is based on a dreamweaver template and the greyed out text is marked as not editable. You can either edit the text I'm the template file and that will update the pages based on the template or detach this specific page from the template or edit in a third program

There are two files involved. The regular page file which has the locked text and a Template file which is located in the Templates folder and has a dwt extension. Editing the dwt file will update any pages based on it. You cannot edit the HTML file unless you detatch it from its template or use an external program

You can't easily reattach a file to a template.  Templates are meant to be applied to new, blank files and if you reapply a Template to a page with content, you might end up with duplicated content or broken HTML.

Destroy which structure?

You still haven't responded to my suggestion of just editing the .dwt file.  If you have that file on your system, editing it will update the child page you are locked out from.  If you don't have the DWT file, then just detach and don't worry about it.
