Cisco 831 interface question

I can't figure out why the IOS shows 3 ethernet interfaces and 4 fast ethernet interfaces.  On the back of the device, there is the WAN interface which is known as Ethernet1, then the 4 LAN ports which all apparently belong to group Ethernet0.  Assuming this is true, what is Ethernet2 then?  Which physical port does it map to, and what would you use it for?

Hi,

eth 0 - eth 3 belongs to LAN, eth4 belongs to WAN
and defaultly the eth0-eth3 belongs to same vlan

After testing shutting down the FastEthernet1-4 interfaces, it appears that they are all grouped in with the LAN interface Ethernet0.  When I shutdown FastEthernet1 for example, just the one  PC loses connectivity.  When I shutdown Ethernet0, all 4 PC's lose connectivity.

Ethernet1 is the WAN interface.  There is only Ethernet0-2, not Ethernet0-3.  I still can't figure out what Ethernet2 is doing in there and what it is for.  Any other ideas?
Could you show us the config?
