export profile information from XP to windows 7

Does anyone know how to export a profile or user preferences from XP to a new setup on Windows 7? Basically need to transfer preferences, passwords, bookmarks, shortcuts etc. Is this possible? Running Windows XP Pro to Windows 7 Pro.
