Local Delivery Queue Retry

Local delivery to an exchange store is not happening.  We have one FE and two BE exchange servers all running 2K3 sp2.  Last night one of the servers stopped delivering local mail.  Users were also unable to access their mailbox through OWA (but could through an internal MAPI connection).  There are several event log entries in the app log with ID 623 saying the version store has reached its max limit.  I am running ISINTEG on the mailstore now to see if there are any issues.  I have also disabled AV scans for both file and exchange scanning on the server.  PLEASE HELP!!!!

So sounds like you reached the DB limit 75GB.  You either need to upgrade to an Enterprise Edition or run Eseutil /d <database path>


Another thing, these errors can be caused by huge messages, DB corruption and other things.

Download and run the MS Exchange Best Practices analyzer tools.

We are currently running exchange enterprise edition.  I have also run BPA with no critical errors.
Could be a large corrupted message.  Please refer to this link:

We are running exchange sp2 and have message size limits set to 5MB.  I have also taken a look at the messages in the queue and none of them are above 1MB.
