I have a stored procedure that simply clears several columns of its values for all rows and returns no data. Is it possible to use the entity framework that is already being used for my database to call this sp?

I have checked out these websites and I am still having some trouble. I've followed the very clear step by step instructions given in the solution provided in http://www.experts-exchange.com/Programming/Languages/.NET/Q_24578152.html. My only problem now is that in:

<entityinstance>.<function name>()  //will fire your stored procedure

the entity instance does not list the function name. It does not seem to be in the entity class.

I personally never got the update feature of entity to work 100%: missing tables or columns, sometimes stored procedures. They would appear in the GUI but once I chose to add them nothing would happen code wise.

So dynamk, try to create a new entitiyToSql on the side and add your stored procedure: it will probably work.

Thanks for the help. I've realized that the entity framework still has a lot of work left to be complete. I've decided to go with a custom framework solution that offers me full control.
