How do i get back the c:\wamp\wampmanager.ini file?

I tried out a new extension to Dreamweaver and it updated my localhost folder. I thought it was just updating the CSS file, but it must done more. So when i try top start WAMP, I am getting: cannot open file c:\wamp\wampmanager.ini, and this file is missing.

Thanks

Hello rogerfla,

Where did you install WAMP on your drive ?
Do a search for this file : wampmanager.ini ("Program Files" or Programmes or wamp-x.y.z ?)

Hi leakim971,

I searched for the file, and it does not exist on my C: drive. I did find a reference to it in my Recent folder under my settings, because i used it on December 12. But the file is not on my drive.

Thanks

Run Dreamweaver as administrator :

Right click on the icon and choose "run as administrator"
I did that, but i am not able to start the wamp services, so nothing happens.

I was able to restore the c:\wamp\wampmanager.ini file, along with a few other files that were missing, from a recent backup. These files included wampmanager.ini, wampmanager.tpl, wampserver.conf, wampmanager.conf. I restored these files into the c:\wamp directory.

Now, when i try to start the wamp server, i am getting a syntax error message (See attached image file) that's generated from the configuration file.

Thanks for your help.
