Good sas controler for tape drive

Hi -
For the past few days I have problems with some sas controllers.  On begin I will describe what I would like to accomplish. I have few tapes with large block size (over 64k) and I would like to duplicate these tapes but for some reason my destination drive won't write the data with the specified block sizes. I tried to  resolve this problem by eliminating the drives and other issuse (I doing this under the linux that this is not problem with windows (some version) limitation. I think that  I need a sas good or compatible controller.
Already I try to adaptec model - the same issue - I found out that adaptec is not good for the sas as was good for scsi. Right now I am looking to buy some which will work for me with large block size. I hope that somebody from you had the same problem before and found solution. I will be very thankful for any advice.

Hi -

This is LTO4 HH (Quantum SuperLoader 3, one LTO-4HH tape drive, 16 slots, SAS).
Finally today I make them work. I use the LSI LOGIC 3442E-HP, installed and tested under CentOS 5.3 (is not driver for newer version of Linux). No longer problem with large bocks size (> then 64kb).
Thank you for this "RAID" info. I will be careful when I will buy my next SAS cart for tape drive connection.
