I get an error that telnet is not recognized as an internal or external command,operable program or batch file

I get an error that telnet is not recognized as an internal or external command,operable program or batch file

this is the error i get in windows 7  64 bit operating system
i had the user run the command prompt with elevated privelages so i do not know what the problem could be.

Not sure if this is related but the user cannot print  either.
could it be a user rights issue\?

I am not to familiar with Windows 7

Since windows vista came out, telnet was disabled by default. It is the same on 7.

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Go to Programs or Programs and Features.
3. Click Turn Windows features on or off.
4. In the Windows Features dialog box, select (tick) the Telnet Client check box.
5. Click OK.
6. After installation is done, Telnet can be used and called immediately.
