Remote Desktop Restarts Server 2003 on Connect

I have been dealing with this problem for a while now and have decided to once again try to figure it out.  I have several Windows 2003 servers, all of which I connect with Remote Desktop to maintain.  One of the servers, my file sharing server, is giving me problems.  When try to connect to the server using Remote Desktop, the server immediately restarts.  The event log gives me an Event ID: 1003, which I have attached the image.

I have noticed that this primarily happens when I try to connect during the day when users are actively sharing files on the server.  When I connect at night I rarely have a problem with it restarting.  Unfortunately this is hard to test fixes because it really disrupts the company when the server restarts during the middle of the day.

I have read several threads on the exchange and have not been able to point to the root of the problem.  I need some fresh ideas.

This is probably causing a BSOD if you were at the console to view it when the reboot happens on remote connection:

Error code 1000007f = "UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M" - The first parameter displayed on the blue screen specifies the trap number. Trap number 0x00000000, or Divide by Zero Error, may indicate memory corruption. Other hardware problems, or software failures can cause this error. See the the link to Bug Check codes for more explanations about various trap numbers.

There is a hotfix that addresses the issue, if this is the case:

Justin,
Thank you for the quick response.  I applied the service pack last night.  The server was in the middle of a backup so I could not reboot and test it.  I'll have to wait until this evening to reboot and test.  Stand by,
Jed

Justin,
I just restarted the server with the hotfix applied and tested the remote connection.  It seems to be working.  I'll test tommorow when the office is in ful use with the server.
