As I am newbie to Oracle technology, would like to know few below clarification.
Your help is much appreciated.

What purpose of using Oracle developer suite10g software?
Is this higher version for the D2k 6i ?
Is this just development tool to develop the forms and those should be deployed at Oracle application server only?

Can we deploy these forms locally without apps server (user PC)?
If we deploy locally(User PC, no apps server), at run should this forms should need run time from browser?
What are advantages of this suite over 6i version?

Without the help of the application sever is there any way we can deploy this suite10g forms and make available to all the user who want to accessing the application using browser/webOR- it is mandate that should we use Oracle Apps server.

"What (is the] purpose of using Oracle developer suite10g software?"
That is used to develop applications using Oracle Forms (version10) and Oracle Reports (version 10).

"Is this [a] higher version for the D2k 6i ?"
Yes.  There was no version 7 or 8.  Oracle jumped the version number for Oracle Developer 6 (which worked with Oracle8 databases) to version 9 when the Oracle9 database came out, so the Developer version number and the database version number would be in sync with each other.

"Is this just development tool to develop the forms and those should be deployed at Oracle application server only?"
Yes, this is the current development tool for Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports. I think these can be deployed on other web/applicaiton servers also, and not just an Oracle application server, but I have no experience with other web/application servers.

"Can we deploy these forms locally without apps server (user PC)?"
No.  Oracle Developer6i was the last version that supported the client/server deployment mode.  Oracle Developer 9 and 10 support a three-tier (web-enabled) deployment only, so you must use an application server.

"If we deploy locally(User PC, no apps server), at run should this forms should need run time from browser?"
These cannot be deployed or installed locally.  They must run in a web browser with the actual processing being done on an application server.

"What are advantages of this suite over 6i version?"
In my opinion: very few!  Apparently Larry Ellison thinks that client/server computing is old-fashioned, so he refuses to support it.  I think a big reason is because most client/server computers use a WIndows computer, and that means Bill Gates will get some license revenue.  Since Bill Gates is one of very few people in this country who are richer than Larry Ellison (Warren Buffet is likely another one) I think Larry is jealous of Bill and doesn't want to do anything that will send more money to Bill Gates.

Oracle will tell you that the three-tier deployment model is more efficent than the two-tier (or client/server) model.  That may be true for large organizations.  I am not conviced that is true for small organizations.

"Without the help of the application server is there any way we can deploy this suite10g forms and make available to all the user who want to accessing the application using browser/web"
No, you must an application server, but I think Oracle Developer10 allows this to be a non-Oracle aaplication server.  It certainly does not need to be an "Oracle Applications" (EBS) server!
