I'd like to know if Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 can be applied to Windows Server 2003 Appliance Edition.
On the HP Website http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c00896242 and Microsoft Website http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914962 it only mentioned the Storage Server 2003 and not Appliance Edition. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

"...  Microsoft is offering vendors a deal that the software giant hopes no OEM systems vendor will be able to let pass. At the heart of this deal is a very low-cost OEM 'appliance edition' of Windows Server 2003. Storage OEMs get the first appliance edition, which is dubbed Windows Storage Server 2003... "
That refers to the "Appliance Kit Utility" for Storage Server.
"SP2 can be installed directly on ... Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 Editions"
So it appears you're OK...!   But to be sure, why not contact the vendor of the hardware that has this OS on and double-check they support it?
