Installing ISA Server 2006 on Windows Server 2008

I currently have a Windows Server 2003 Box on which I have only ISA Server 2006. However, I have decided to get a new box for my ISA Server 2006. However, the new box comes with a Windows Server 2008. I'm wondering if ISA Server 2006 is supported on Windows Server 2008.

No, ISA Server 2006 has system requirements:
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 32-bit operating system with Service Pack 1 (SP1) or Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 32-bit.

Peter is correct in that ISA2006 will only work in a 32-bit environment. However, you can do a number of things.

1. You can use Forefront TMG which is effectively ISA2010. There is a time-limited trial version on the MS web site and runs on Windows 2008 R2 64-bit.
2. Install Hyper-V on your 2008 box and create a 32-bit virtual machine. ISA2006 sp1 is supported in that environment.
3. The Windows 2008 server can be scrubbed and you an use a copy of Windows 2003 on the new box instead - the 2008 license is downgradeable if you want to use an earlier OS. By using 2003 32-bit, you can continue to use your ISA 2006 environment.

I'd probably try to Install Windows Server 2003 on the 2008 Hyper-V
