I need to create web service using JSP(Java Server Pages).

Need to know what are the requirements, does it require any other software to be installed? Any sample code available?? Any demo is available???

Thank you

You can only access web-service using JSP.
A web-service needs to be deployed seperately and JSP can act as a client for that web-service.

If you need to create a webservice, you can do that in a Java file..

To create a SOAP service...

1) Get Eclipse in your PC..
2) Code all your logic and have one entry point for your service which can take your request.. this is called service entry point..
3) Rightclick this class in Eclipse and select Webservice -> create webservice.. follow the wizard.. your webservice is ready...

pass the generated WSDL file to the consumer...

To create a RESTfull service..
