How to validate textbox during custom installation

I  have to check whether the user has entered the username and password while installing.Then only he must be allowed to move to the next step

This is accomplished by specifying a condition on the control linked to the button "next" (table ControlCondition), or on the event linked to it (table ControlEvent).

How you accomplish that depends on what msi-authoring tool you are using.
