I don't know why you are having issues with your Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP), I have it running smoothly in lots of customer sites and they don't have any problems.
No matter what Anti-Virus software you have in place, if your users click on the wrong link or open up the wrong website and click on any pop-ups, then they will get infected and most antivirus software won't be able to prevent this.
This is not a problem with the software but more a problem with user education.
It may be that what you have running in your network is not actually a virus, but more likely spyware or malware of some sort.
SEP works pretty well out of the box with minor adjustments to LiveUpdate.  SEP 12.0 is now out too, so if you have a valid license, you should upgrade.  The rollout is much simpler and there is less input during installation to get wrong.
I always use MalwareBytes to scan machines with problems (www.malwarebytes.org) and this usually cleans up anything that Symantec cannot.

Hello,

Im backing Hind987's answer, Kaspersky is probably one of the best anti viruses you can buy as proven in a lot of computer magazines and reports.
www.kaspersky.co.uk

It has an administration kit that allows you to install on your server and remotely install the software on each computer keeping progress and also keeping each version installed fully upto date automatically.

The company I used to work for had about 20 different customers with Kaspersky installed, no reported problems or issues, simple and effective to use, does not slow down computer preformance and finds almost any virus, spyware or mailware.

Please let me know if you want any further information about this product.

Please note that this solution has worked for me in all the years I have used it and I completely respect everyone elses opinions added to this question.

Thanks.

Cyber Threats to Small Businesses (Part 1)

This past May, Webroot surveyed more than 600 IT decision-makers at medium-sized companies to see how these small businesses perceived new threats facing their organizations.  Read what Webroot CISO, Gary Hayslip, has to say about the survey in part 1 of this 2-part blog series.

@Hind987 & RatBoy1 - I have 30 servers that I look after all running SEP and there are no problems.  I have used Symantec products for the past 15 years and have never had a problem or a virus on any of them.  No single Anti-virus product is infallible.
Asfourcrystal has stated that he has already invested in Symantec, so offering an alternative product is not very helpful at this stage.  If an alternative product was being sought, your comments would be helpful, but I am guessing that asfourcrystal is looking for a solution and not recommendations for other products right now.

i wanna tell that my statistcs reports for my network with symantec is :

As he stated "poor antivirus engine" I thought I would at least provide the option of an additional software would be helpful. This is clearly shown by lack of virus detection and spam that he has received since using it. Maybe it is not working for his environment, maybe its clashing with a particular software that asfourcrystal uses in the company.
There is not much point investing money into a Anti virus that does not work in their company.

What are the 29 Still Infected files?
Please click on the 29 and bring up the report to show what they are and then post the details please.

I totally understand and agree with you but offering an alternative solution as a first comment is IMHO not very helpful.  It is akin to me saying I just bought a new VW car and I am having a problem with it and you saying "If only you had bought a Audi - I have never had a problem with an Audi".
Anyway - let's try to help asfourcrystal and if he/she decides to go down the Kaspersky route then at least he/she has some good feedback about it.
On a separate note - Symantec Endpoint Protection does not protect from spam.  I used to use Symantec Mail Security and recently ditched it in favour of an alternative product that removed much more spam and was much more cost effective.  I am not going to put it's name forward unless asked to do so as this is a question about Anti-Virus not Anti-Spam.

None of those viruses (with names) are new viruses.  Are your Anti-Virus Definitions up-to-date?
Are you set to clean / quarantine the risk, delete the risk or leave it alone?
0

asfourcrystalAuthor Commented:
yes the definitions is updated

please do you have a guide for symantec mangment but i need it explaiend ididn't need the guide from symantec

Alan HardistyCommented:
There is only be the guide from Symantec available as far as I am aware.
Assuming you are current with your license, have you considered calling Symantec using the support that you get with the product.  Their support is excellent in my experience and they can work live with you on your server to show you what to do / correct any issues you have?
