unable to view images embedded in html email

I have one user that is unable to view images that are embedded in HTML emails.  The email is a newsletter that pulls the images from a local server.  The user can view the email correctly via her personal gmail account, but on outlook XP none of the images show up.  Clicking "download images" does nothing.  I cannot figure out why this happening and why it is happening ONLY to her.  Anyone have any suggestions?

There isn't even a red x.  It's like the email doesnt even know there should be images there
Sometime, this can happen because of some image file format..
Try saving your image in different format.. for example .jpg instead of .gif or vice verse base on your current format.. dont just change the extn of a file.. save convert using some image editing tool..

I have checked everything.. I may just try to reinstall and see if that works.
It was AVG... the email scan was stripping the HTML from the files...
