Visual Studio / Business Intelligence Project Type

I have SQL Server 2005 with Reporting Services installed on a server.  We just installed Visual Studio 2005 v8.0.50727.42.  I'm working through a tutorial on Reporting Services and am stuck on Step 1 =*(

The instructions say to open up Visual Studio, select File|New Project, then select Business Intelligence Project.  However, the only project types available are "Other Project Types" -> "Visual Studio Solutions".

My question, how do I add "Business Intelligence Projects" to the list of Project Types in Visual Studio 2005?

Visual Studio doesn't come with Business Intelligence Projects. That comes with SQL Server. So you need the SQL Server CD/DVD and install the client tools from that CD on your development machine. Once you do that you will get Business Intelligence Projects. You will also get an icon for BIDS (Business Intelligence Development Studio), which also starts Visual Studio.

Checking to make sure BIDS was installed was our thought, and according to the installation process BIDS was installed.  That is why we were so confused.  We then tried going through Add/Remove Programs and actually found that the installation process was different then just going to setup.  In Add/Remove Programs it said that BIDS wasn't installed so we "re-installed" it and everything appears to work.

Thanks for the reply.
