Safely remove Sharepoint 3.0
Is it safe to disable and remove Sharepoint services from a SBS 2008 installation. We don't use these services and thus have no need for them to be installed.

One thing you could try out would be to disable the Sharepoint web-site in IIS and see what that does to your operation. My section of the pep-talk stated, I would just leave all as-is, but this is one way to simulate the act without actually removing anything.

I still can't find much useful documentation regarding the integration of WSS into SBS. On that note I will leave it intact for now.

What I'm really looking for is experience from individuals that have done it and if they experienced side effects from disabling and/or removing these services.
Not being an expert on SPS integration of SBS I'd like to know how else its integrated besides the intranet website, remote gateway, and resource sharing.
