Windows 7 RDP LOGON password

I have Windows 7 with 3 different user names/passwords.
All 3 of them work correctly when I log-on locally.
But only 2 of them when using RDP.
Third account worked with RDP only once, then it stopped.

Error - incorrect username or password.

Tried to remove then recreate password, used different one, still the same problem..
Any ideas how to fix this problem?

Have you added the other two (and not the third) to allowed users for RDP assuming you are controlling specific users allowed to login

Also have you tried machine name\username for that one to see if that works?

Yes, all three usernames are allowed for RDP, tried machne/username during logon.
I was able to logon first time
but then something got corrupted I guess in user profile?
Need someone who knows exactly why it would work locally and not remotely for one particular user profile and how to reset it without moving the profile data..

    Accepted Solution

    solution found.
this username was changed in the past, somehow Windows allows You to Login using the new name
locally but when it comes to the RDP i have to use original old UserName.
