SQLXMLBULKLOAD Error.log path is invalid

I am running SQLXMLBULKLOAD and getting the following message "The error log file could not be created. Make sure you have the appropriate permissions and that the ErrorLogFilePath is valid. "

The error.log file is mapped as objbl.ErrorLogFile = "C:\error.log".
I have tried with this empty and also creating this empty file prior to running the page. I have also tried running this with the file located in the project files as  "C:~/Data/error.log" as this still come with the same message.
So I believe the path is correct, therfor can you give assistance on finding the appropriate permissions.

Kind regards

The folder (not the file) has to exist before you run the import he user under the application is running, be it a VBscript in Windows (in this case will be your windows account so should not be any problems here)  or ASP page, has to have permission to write on that folder. If you are using an ASP page to do that the user set in the IIS for the application has to be given writing permissions to that folder. If you are using a folder that the ASP website is using should work as well.
