what is the current version of XML Parser and where can I download it.  Windows 7  I went to MS download center, but there are so many versions (core, parser) I don't want to choose the wrong one.  I need it because the support for my backup software (Acronis) says mine is damaged ot out of date.

When, exactly, do you receive the error? Has it always happened or did it just start? If it just started, what have you changed on your computer since? Have you tried the Acronis forums? http://forum.acronis.com/

You can try installing this, as you already suggested:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=d21c292c-368b-4ce1-9dab-3e9827b70604&displaylang=en

Restart the Acronis software. If that doesn't do the trick, reboot. If that doesn't work, I might try reinstalling the Acronis software.

It has always happened.  Acronis has been helping but with no luck so far.  They told me to get the latest XML Parser, that's why I posted the question.  I can try uninstalling Acronis and reinstalling.  I'll get back to you.

The problem was Acronis previous version didn't uninstall properly.  Acronis had to manually remove it and it solved the problem.
