Configuring email to go thru ASA firewall

I need external email ip address to be my external firewall address and then have the firewall direct all email to email security appliance and then to email server and out to client and then be able to reverse the process.

How do I configure this?

static (inside,outside) tcp interface smtp InsideEmailSecurityAppliance smtp

will map your inside email security appliance to the firewall IP address. You then have to change your firewall rule to allow smtp to come in.

You email security appliance should forward mails to your mail server internally.

Finally, depends on how your client access your mail server, the answer is different. e.g. for POP, you will need:

static (inside,outside) tcp interface pop3 InsideEmailServer pop3

and open firewall rule to allow pop3.
