First, you probably have a dirty print head:<br />

If that does not work, try replacing the other cartridges as well, as one of them could be bad. There are contacts in the front of the cartridge that allows the printer head to control the flow of ink, if these get corroded or the internal ink dries out, the prints will not be correct, thus failing the &quot;alignment test&quot;.<br />
