help on alignment
i just downloaded windows 7// i have a hp d7560 photosmart printer which i have the driver for it that is compatible with windows 7// when i run the alignment through hp solution center, it says "alignment failed"// i have tried it 6-8 times with same result// i think all else is working// i am running alignment b/c some colors are weird// i just bought a new black ink cartridge which was low on ink, thinking that was the problem
ASKER
i replaced both blacks with new hp cartridges// the three colors are hp and have ink and work// still says alignment failed

How are you doing?
First, you probably have a dirty print head:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01434521&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3396085
If that does not work, try replacing the other cartridges as well, as one of them could be bad. There are contacts in the front of the cartridge that allows the printer head to control the flow of ink, if these get corroded or the internal ink dries out, the prints will not be correct, thus failing the "alignment test".
Hope this helps,
Kevin
