No, not that I am aware of anyway.

I did discover that we have 3 machines with XP sp3 that get this error when trying to export to Excel from a Visuall Studio 2003 applicaiton:

    Error in File \\xxx\xx\xx.rpt
    Error detected by export DLL

However, they can export just fine to Word and an RTF format.

We have at least one machine that has XP sp2 and it is exporting the same report just fine to Excel.

But when searching this issue using Google, it appears as though there a several users getting this error after upgrading to XP sp2, but the ones that have upgraded to XP sp3 are running fine. This is just the opposite of my scenario.

I also saw a couple of patches that will supposedly fix the problem, but they are different patches from each other, and may fix the problem ok, but don't really tell me why this is happening. I would like to be fully aware of what is causing the problem in the first place than just try some things to fix it and then move on.

You can get the offical updates from this SAP/Crystal site

Be sure you select the correct service packs for your Crystal version.
