I'm using Roxio Creater Premiere  v10.

I want to record from my mic but when I click the "record" button I get "No Recording device".

I've recorded from my mic in the past so I don't understand why I get this message.

windows often loses the mic.  check the settings for the mic in the control panel and make sure that a test in there works.  You make sure your correct device is set as the default device.

I could find no mic settings on the control panel.  Then I realized my mic was not plugged in!
As soon as I plugged it in the error message stopped appearing.

I'm awarding the points but the response only caused me to discover the real problem: my mic wasn't plugged in
