SBS2003 to SBS2008 Migration: When do I setup second SQL server box?

I am planning the migration of our SBS 2003 Premium server to SBS 2008 Premium server.

SBS2008 requires that SQL be running on a second box. Does it matter when I install and setup this machine?

Are there any special migration setup options or do I setup the SQL machine by itself then join it to the new domain?

Any help on the process is greatly appreciated. The Microsoft documents dont cover the installation of the 2nd server.

    Our migration guide:

You can set up the second server after the SBS migration has been completed.

The Microsoft documents do have direction on the procedures for moving SQL databases to the new second server. It is a detach and attach process.
