Sounds like a power profile thats setting it to save battery. Do you still have this problem when its plugged into the mains and the battery is charging?<br />

&nbsp; &nbsp; I just resolved it, its the blackberry application is having some conflicts thats why its dimmed, I just uninstall it and its ok by now, seems very weird...<br />

My Vaio Laptop LCD Dimmed, but when I observed during the restart, the bios start up and windows 7 start up is not dimmed, but when it reaches to Logon Screen of Windows 7 it becomes Dimmed.<br />
<br />
Note: this Vaio has a dedicated graphic card, I check the driver it looks ok.<br />
