Exchange Server Hot Backup

Looking for a good, cost efficient, live backup for Exchange 2003.

This is for a small business that has 10 users. There is already a backup solution provided for all their data, except the fact that it can't backup the exchange databases while its running. I'm looking for a software that will do specifically that.

Thanks in advance.

If you are using SBS server, then you can use something like Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery Small Business Server Edition (http://www.symantec.com/business/backup-exec-system-recovery-windows-small-business-server-edition) or Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Advanced Server SBS Edition (http://www.acronis.com/backup-recovery/advanced-server-small-business).
I have used Symantec Livestate for my 2003 server (and have customers using on their SBS boxes) and it works very well.
Pricing wise - Acronis comes up at $499 according to their website and Symantec costs £305.65 with Basic (8 x 5 x 52 support) for the box product.

The built in backup tool will do the job. It is Exchange aware. If you want something a little more sophisticated then Backup Assist is good. Based on the same engine as the built in backup tool, it provides a little more flexibility for the backup without the cost of Symantec's Backup Exec.

Hello kmaris15,

A little bit expensive for ten user (around $800 to protect your server) but you will protect in realtime Exchange :
