Display Tag JSP Sorting Issue

I'm using the JSP Display tag library (website is http://displaytag.sourceforge.net/1.2/). I have pagesize set to 30.  I have a total of 280 records.  Therefore, the tables displayed have pagination (Next page, first, previous, 1, 2, 3, etc.).  I have sorting enabled.  The problem is that sorting is performed on a per page basis.

One of the users  would like to see sorting on ALL records WITH pagination.  That is sort all records when click on column.  When click Next page, sorting order is maintained.

Any ideas from Display Tag users?

check this example, I guess this has what you are looking out for.

http://displaytag.homeip.net/displaytag-examples-1.2/example-pse.jsp
using sort="list"

see the view source.

sort all the records using SQL and then select required records using ROWNUM in oracle
