HP 4000 needs to print to legal plain paper in tray 3 and legal paper used for books with the holes in the side in tray 4

Need to know how I can get an hp printer to print to plain legal paper in tray 3 and book legal paper in tray 4.
I installed another instance of the printer on the server and shared it as book.

We installed this instance on the station that need to print to the book paper in tray 4 and set tray three to not available.   when we do book printing it prints to tray 3 that holds the plain legal paper.

I am not even sure it is possible to do this.
We also accessed the printer config from the web browser and set tray 4 for legal any and legal prepunched but it didnt' make a difference.

Setup the second tray as a different TYPE of paper. Call it preprinted instead of plain. That way you should be able to select preprinted and it will go to the holed paper and not switch to the other tray if the paper runs out.

We tested changing the type of paper for each tray and it still printed to plain legal.
We configured this in the printer itself and also on the print instance on the server.

We installed another printer that they can print to.
