Connect servers directly with fiber controllers

can i directly connect 2 like exchange servers together with a EMC LPe1150-E 4Gb PCIe Fibre Channel Adapter in each server?  I want to use the fiber to sync data and heartbeat for high availibility.

    My Opinion:
    Not possible as for me. Fiber Channel requires a host and a target.Best option is to go for GigE NICs for these servers and and connect through cross over.

    If you are sharing the fibre optic channels between the nodes for external storage then i say yes to your question.

    But for interconnecting nodes only recommend Gig Nics.
