Why Won't psexec work on all our computers?

Hello,
I'm having trouble using psexec on some machines. on the first machine i tried i used this code that i launched from my machine on the domain
(I used the run box)
"C:\Documents and Settings\temp\Desktop\PsTools\psexec.exe" \\eng222 -i "notepad"
and that worked PERFECTLY, notepad opened up on \\eng222!

then i tried it on \\eng221
using the code (using the run box again)
"C:\Documents and Settings\temp\Desktop\PsTools\psexec.exe" \\eng221 -i "notepad"
and nothing happened!
this also happens on all the other computers i have also tried to use psexec on.

they are both using xp-64bit.

am i missing some setting the first computer had set?

Run it from a command prompt and see if any errors are displayed.

Also run \\eng221\admin$ from the Run line and verify that you are able to browse the share.

Hi, first, make sure you've got PSExec 1.96 (or 1.97 which was out this month).

I usually specify a username and password when using PSExec, as you will need this if you want psexec to access any network resource anyway.

Try this command (as Shift-3 suggested) directly at a command prompt.

psexec.exe -accepteula -e -i -u domain\administrator -p domainpassword \\eng221 "notepad.exe"

Rob.
