After converting to Excel 2007, I get the message above. I have already gone through the usual approach of trying to 'Find" {},[], etc. Can yo shed any light as to where else to look?

Try clicking CTRL-G and select special, then search for formula errors.
    also #REF!

Thanks, Gary. I have searched through all formulas and cannot find a reference error. I have found what may be the root of the problem though and that is an external reference that no longer exists. However, I cannot break this link using the "Break Link" option in the "Edit Links" utility. Any insight as to why a link cannot be broken?

Try saving the file under the same name as the file it links to.
