where can i find a driver for a lexmark x 5495 printer that is compatible with windows 7?
do i load the printer first and then the "patch" if a patch is called for?
do i uninstall the old lexmark printer first?  or does that happen automatically ?

Try this driver. http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=content&id=DR5568&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&userlocale=EN_US&segment=DOWNLOAD&productCode=LEXMARK_X5495&searchid=1262212912379

It does say Windows Vista, but should be Windows 7 compatible. Go ahead and remove the old driver first. It's also a good idea to upgrade to the newest version of Internet Explorer.
