to further my last statement..

i use Sage MAS 90, which is based on ProvideX (i.e.  not SQL)
to link data to sharepoint, i import data from MAS 90 to SQL via SQL Linked Server.
MAS 90 / ProvideX is too slow to handle live data queries, so that's why i import.  you may be able to use direct queries if Sage Accounts database can handle it.

so, i import the tables from MAS 90 to SQL, and then i'm able to use all kinds of options to show data in sharepoint, like Data View Web Part, or BDC.

what type of database is used for Sage Accounts?

i'm not aware of a connector, but if it's a standard database, like SQL, then a special connector isn't needed.

This provides a workaround rather than the answer I had hoped for.
