Does the Blackberry Bold (9000) cell phone have a jack where an external antenna can be plugged into the cell phone? If so, what types of external antennas can be purchased for the Blackberry Bold?

I live in a place where the cell phone reception is poor and I need to hook up my Blackberry to an external antenna to improve its reception and call quality.

Knowledgeable,

There's no external antenna jack or connection point for the Blackberry Bold. And, the external "antennas" or "signal boosters" that are unpowered and attach to your battery, etc don't do anything. Your best bet is (depending on your service provider) an external powered cell booster (prices start around $300 - 900), or something like Verizon Wireless's Network Extender (must have a broadband internet connection).

Cheers,
