Reset fan status light Cisco Catalyst 5505

I recently had the power supply # 1 fan fail in a Cisco Catalyst 5505 switch.  I replaced the power supply and need to reset the status indicator lights on the Supervisor Engine III-NFFC II.  Can someone please direct me on how to do this?
Thank you.

Normally, you would issue a "reset mod #". But since the LED you want to reset is associated with the power supply, the only way I know is to power cycle or reload the switch.

Did you have to buy a new power supply or is it covered under a maintenance agreement?

Is there a specific process for power cycling the switch?  Or is it simply switching off both power supplies?
Either issue the "reload" command or simply power it off and then turn it back on.

I will be doing this tomorrow morning and posting a comment again at that time.

Switching off the power to both power supplies did not reset the fan indicator.   To issue the reload command will I need to connect a laptop to the switch or can I access it over the network?   I have no experience with Cisco switches and am looking for the easiest way to reset this status indicator.
Thanks

Although this solution may work for some it did not work for me.  At this time I am not very familiar with Cisco switches and have not had the time to connect to it and perform additional troubleshooting as suggested by donjohnston.
Thanks.
