First thing is to check you have all the required
pre-requisites installed as per: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691354.aspx

please note the different scripts for Windows 2008 R2

also have a look at this thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/exchange2010/thread/6f9beabe-34ee-4eae-9e45-3fb74a2ef82a

All prerequsites are installed. and i have already read that post and no luck on it. I made it anonomous and still no go.
Can you post the complete error?
use the following article to enable out of office in exchange environment
http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2006/10/06/429115.aspx

The complete error is "The server method 'SetObject' failed."
Did you double check all the pre-requisites in the link I posted in my first post?

What are the authentication methods currently set on the ECP virtual directory in the Exchange Management Console?
If the authentication in Exchange Management Console is current set to Form Based Authentication can you change it to:

Use one or more standard authentication methods then check:

Integrated Windows Authentication
Basic Authentication

not sure if you will need to restar IIS for this change.
Authentication changed. no go, prereqs are good. also exchane wont even install unless the are met. Im using exchange 2010 on server 2008r2
Also, if i go to the cell phone section.        The server method 'GetList' failed is the error i get
I figured it out. But im not hapy with it. I had an additional port in there for https once i removed it from iis it started working. Is there a way i can change that port and still have everything wrk?
