Redirected Desktops - Internet explorer not printing

We have all our sales department's desktops etc redirected. this is for most folders, AppData, start menu, documents, etc. Problem is, when they try to print something from Internet explorer,
it shows up as a blank page. I think it's because IE takes the print from c:\users\$user\appdata\
etc, The only workaround I found for this, is to clear the cache on IE, and set it to check for a new version every time it goes to the page. However, this has to be done to every computer anew....
I tried entering a group policy under USER CONFIGURATION\Preferences\Control Panel\Internet Explorer, but it only has settings for IE5-6-7 not 8 which we use here.
