Library contents in the "Documents Icon" show all files in an included folder instead of just fhe included folder.

Hi,

If I add "My Documents" to the library, the "Documents" folder appears exactly as shown in "My Documents in one pc.  However, the other pc shows over a thousand files in the library "My Documents.  Using Windows 7 on bothe pcs.  Both were complete installations of Win7.  Please advise.

Thanks,
Joe

Hi nimatejic,

I removed c:/Users/"My Documents" from the library.  When I try to add any folder back to "Documents", I get a ton of odd files added.

Also removed c:/Users/Public folder.

Thanks,
Joe

A bit lost here. "right click on the 'size' field and select 'folder path' view."  Rignt click on what?

Also I went to the original "c:/Users/"My Documents"  and did an "Include in LIbrary" , which put those files in the library with a 100,00 misc. files.  Not sure why the age of files would appear "wierd".  Please advise,

Thanks,
Joe

Hi,

I am convinced that my Win 7 OS is messed up, since I do the same procedure on my other pc and it works fine.

Thanks,
Joe

nimatejic,

Instead of showing -
Libraries
  Documents
  My Documents

It shows -
Libraries
Documents [with thousands of gif, etc files]
  My Documents (C:)

My Documents (C:) is very strange, but I cannot find any reason for it.

No third party software installed other than normal Office etc.

Thanks,
Joe
