Put back my email on server from outlook

I successfully synchronized hotmail account with outlook express but didn't check the option "leave message on server". Therefore my emails moved from hotmail inbox to outlook express inbox on my system. This is not good as i won't be able to access from server inbox anymore. I therefore want to put back these moved emails in my outlook inbox on the system to the server of hotmail inbox. How to do that. Pleas help.

Easiest way would just be to forward them all to your hotmail account

Unfortunately, Hotmail does not support IMAP - which would allow you to relatively easily just put back the messages.  You can try contacting Hotmail support - but I suspect they will be useless.  I think you're stuck with Neilsr's comment - which I think is horrible, since all the messages will end up with new dates on them... but horrible or not, it appears to be your only realistic solution.
why dont you just backup your mail in OE and then import it from server ?

how do I import it
what do you use for mail on server ?
explorer648Author Commented:
but it is basically simple....
Outlook Express has File>Export messages
On the other hand you do the import.
It all comes down to point to the location where the backed up messages
are stored.

After a long search :

I regret to inform you that theres no way to retrieve your messages or import them back from your email program. The messages you downloaded is now stored on your computer.

So I guess you should do what Neilsr suggested....

Follow my migration guideline in the URL below.

Please follow the following guideline for migration.

1. You need to open a new free email account which support IMAP. I will choose to open GMail as it is more stable.

2. Setup the new GMail in IMAP format under your Outlook Express.

3. Copy and Paste or Drap and Drop the email from the Inbox of your Hotmail to the Inbox of GMail.

4. Download and Setup Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop from http://www.zimbra.com/products/desktop.html

5. Setup your Hotmail under Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop

6. Setup GMail under Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop

7. Set GMail to be primary account of Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop and launch desktop

8. Goto Preference -> Import / Export

9. Under Export, Select the Source to "Inbox" and click "Advanced setting" and Select the Data Type to "Inbox" and remove all other check boxes in Data Type.

10. Click the Export button and you will be asked where you want to save the .tgz file.

11. After Export, Click Setup and Set Hotmail to be  primary account of Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop and launch desktop

12. Goto Preference -> Import / Export

13. Under Export, Click on the Browse button and locate the .tgz file you have exported earlier.

14. Select the Source to "Inbox" and click "Advanced setting" and Select the Data Type to "Inbox" and remove all other check boxes in Data Type.

15. You need to wait for import to be finished.

16. When import is finished, click on the Setup button. You may need to edit the Hotmail account for the period of Synchronization. I will set the Synchronization period to every minute.

17. Click OK and Wait for Synchronization to be completed. You must be patient as it starts long time to complete.

18. When Synchronization is completed, all your emails in Hotmail will be accessible through webmail of your Hotmail.
