When working on a document in Word 2003, Many of the options in the toolbar are greyed out.  For example the Cut/Copy/Paste...Customize...Options...All of these features are available in excel, outlook, power point...I have uninstalled office, and reinstalled it...and nothing...any help would be appreciated.

The first thing to try is ....

    Close Word
    Start > Run
    Then enter ,,,, winword.exe /a

That fixed many similar problems for me.
    Backup your registry

    Find this with regedit

Delete that key. When Word restarts it recreates missing keys.

I think that the possible solution offered by me was well worth a try and would quite likely have worked.
