Deny SharePoint users based on AD Security Groups.

SharePoint 2003 Question: Is there a method to keep NT Authenticated users and still deny access to users based off an Active Directory security group?
1 Solution

sharepoint 2003 does work that way.  the permissions are basd off on turn on permissions or turn off permissions, and that works with users or groups.  however if you give  group that is everyone you cant block some out of that everyone group.  the one thing you can do is block certain items by using audiences, but that only works with webparts, but again that is based on who can seesomething and blocks all others.  so in short if you give authenticated users read you cant then pick out of that group who cant see.  its easier to figure out who you want access and give it to them.  now you can allso break inheritence to doc libs and list to block soem out but again if the authenticate group has read, then everyone does

Hope this helps clear that up
