Netgear WN802T Wireless Access Point IP Address?

Afternoon all,

Been having a litany of problems with my wireless network, mostly to do with having to relocate the router, which has caused massive dead-spots throughout the house.

As such, bought a new wireless access point to help extend the range. It is a Netgear WN802T (802.11N RangeMax). I bought it from http://www.trustedgoods.com/ so it's a refurbished piece of equipment.

The problem I have is that when trying to configure the AP, using an ethernet/wired connection I cannot connect to it. I tried the default address of 192.168.0.233. This gave me nothing. I then reset it to factory defaults. Tried to connect again and it's still not recognising the IP.

The AP seems to be working well enough otherwise - it's broadcasting a strong signal and I can deduce its MAC address from that, but I am clueless as to how I can find its IP address or otherwise work out how to get inside to configure it.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,

G

If logging in using the default IP address, the computer you are using to connect to the WN802T should be configured with an IP address that starts with 192.168.0.x and a Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0.

Spot on.

Now all I have to do is work out how to hook this blasted thing up as a repeater/range extender ... ;)

Thanks for that, should be able to fathom out the rest from here.
