Is this Calculation format correct?

I have put together a monthly commission totals layout that summarises the monthly figures using repeating fields. This works fine when I use the underlying calculation field:
[Monthly]  Caculation [12] unstored, = Case(Get(CalculationRepetitionNumber) = Month(Extend(Date_Written)) ; Extend(cgComm))

However, I want to be able to interchange the Date_Written field for Date_Completed along with some other date options. I have tried the following but now the figures do not calculate:

Calculation [12] unstored, = Case(Get(CalculationRepetitionNumber) = Case(Status = "Written"; Month(Extend(Date_Written))) ; Extend(cgComm))

Status is a Global value. I figure if this works I can add further case options such as Status = "Completed"; Month(Extend(Date_Completed)) etc.

Is my Calculation correct, have I structured it incorrectly or is there some other factor to take into account?

My first clue would be to extend "status" as well. it may sound weird, but calculated repeating fields require extending any operand field which is not, be it global or standard.

Brilliant !!

Seems obvious now but nevertheless I couldn't see it.

Thanks for your help, it has saved me vital time.
