SQL Server logshipment

While doing the log shipment, i am getting the attahced error message. What could be the reasong for this?

Does this message comes when the mode is in standby modeor in recovery.

Try rebooting the secondary server and reran the log shipping set up

It comes in standby mode. If i do the log shipment 2,3 times, it will work. but its a time consuming for big databases.

can you please tell what is your sql servers version, service pack?

if it is sql server 2000- you need at least sp3a (there is sp4 + 30patches)

if it is sql server 2005 - you would need sp3 ..

I have Sql server 2005, with SP3, Standard Edition.

When i start the transaction log shipping for the database, it stops in between while doing the backup and give the attached error. It usually happens during backup and before copy and restore operation.

As I know the log shipping works only with Enterprise Edition:

check if there is an unother trans log job running for the same database at same time.

was the error as popup or you see it inside maint plan history?
