"Windows Help and Support" opens when executing third party software

I've been using a program called "TNT Screen Capturet" (http://www.helpandmanual.com/downloads_tnt.html).   It's a small (nice) program that allows me to take fancy screen shots.

I now have upgraded to Windows 7 (64 bit).   When opening up the screenshot program, I automatically opens with "Windows Help and Support".    Closing down that Help window gets a bit annoying.

I contacted Dell about this problem.  They could NOT figure out how to stop it.

Any thoughts as to how I can disable the automatic opening of the  "Windows Help and Support" dialog box when opening a third-party software?

    Hi there ExpExchHelp,,,,

I have Quickly went through the link you put over there and I noticed that windows7 is not list in the "Supported operating systems:" so the only thing I can suggest over here is

-  Check if it is compatible with win7 64-bit
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

- Contact the company it self , explain the issue to them  and ask them for assistance .

x32 applications usually work under x64 windows.
So you must install your application (running the installer)
in compatibility mode (XP P3).Right click on the installer and set its
compatibility mode to XP SP3.
Also when you run it you should run it in compatibility mode (also XP SP3).
So right click on the exe and set the same settings you did for the installer.
It should work.
Else,get SnagIt http://www.techsmith.com/download/snagittrial.asp
This is the ultimate tool for these things. It runs without a problem on x64.

amrens: thanks, I appreciate it.

senad: I tried Snagit... 'didn't like it (at least the 2007 version).   I ended up useing TNT and really liking it.  This problem just occurred when switching over to 64-bit.

Thanks,
EEH

akhafaf, amrens:

Customer support got back w/ me and provided the following answer (which solved the problem).

"You just need to download the Microsoft update for Winhelp for Windows 7. TNT is a very old program and part of the help still uses Winhelp, which is not directly supported in Windows 7. However, you can fix this with a small download from Microsoft, which you can get here:"
