How do I boot Cicso 1200 AP with TAR file that I just copyied via xmodem?

I just used another post on here to copy a tar file to my Cisco 1200 Wireless Access Point using xcopy.  I have tried the reset command and I get "The system is unable to boot automatically because there are no bootable files to boot."
I've also tried the tar -xtract (filename) and I get permission denied.
I admit I am a novice and any and all help is appreciated.

ASKER

The Dir flash: command shows:

dir flash:
Directory of flash:/

2    -rwx  771       <date>               env_vars
3    -rwx  4884480   <date>               c1200-k9w7-tar.123-4.JA2.tar
it seems you copied the tr file not xtract...
Please upload the bin file from tat file via xmodem:

This is the command I used to copy the tar file. As I said I am a novice to this.
ap: copy xmodem: flash:c1200-k9w7-tar.123-4.JA2.tar

How do I get the BIN file from the TAR when i look at the file using winzip I do not see a bin file in there?

use winzip, or winrar
I now have winrar and am uploading the binary.  Will report when the xmodem transfer finishes.
ok, good luck:)
I am a novice and did not understand some of the terminology that the expert used so he was hard to follow.
