SBS 2008 DNS

Is there a way i can configure where SBS2008 send unresolved DNS requests i have expaned all the trees in the DNS Manager but dont seem to find the IP of the DNS server they should be forwarding to, i dont know how things are being resolved at present. In 2003 you put this dat in during the connect to internet wizard.

No it won't because it uses root hints. But it does configure DNS querries.
You can verify and/or change in the DNS management console as instructed above.

This is still done using the wizards; windows SBS management console | network | connectivity | connect to the Internet.

2008 doe not use forwarders, but rather "root hints".  You can still use forwarders if you prefer but you have to so manually by opening the DNS management console and clicking on the server name. In the right hand window double click on forwarders (not forward lookup zones) and add the ISP's DNS under forwarders.

If interested in the pros and cons, Google "root hints vs forwarders". Lots of opinions out there. This one has a reasonable explanation:

I have ran the connect to internet wizard but it does not ask for my dns server ip info so i cannot see at present how it is sorting the DNS.  Is there a way to find out.
